From now on, performances at Long Beach Poly High School will be held in the Andrew Osman Performing Arts Center. The school’s auditorium was renamed on Sunday in honor of Andy Osman, the school's music director for the past 36 years.

Osman retired in April after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Students, alumni, faculty, friends and family gathered on the school quad Sunday to celebrate Osman's career. Under his leadership, Long Beach Poly was honored twice with the Grammy Signature Schools Awards, which honors the best high school music programs in the nation.
